Packaged transport testing refers to the use of laboratory means to simulate the various expected hazards that a transport unit (i.e., a complete transport package) will encounter during the circulation cycle.

Detection Scope and Items

Amazon's frustration-free packaging program began in August, and packaging that previously required products sold on Amazon platforms with dimensions greater than 18*14*8 inches or weighing more than 20 pounds needed to complete Tier 1-FFP or Tire 2-SIOC certification in the Frustration-Free packaging programs by August 1, 2019. After July 31, 2019, if the relevant product packaging is not tested and certified, Amazon will impose a fine of $1.99 per retail package, while for products that have previously completed testing and obtained certification, Amazon will reward $1.00 per retail package. At present, many Amazon suppliers have not completed testing and certification, and for non-compliant packaging products, fines have been enforced in North America from September 3, 2019, while the implementation time in Europe is October 1. Therefore, qualified Amazon suppliers must seize the opportunity to send tests and certifications as early as possible to reduce losses.
