Portable Hook-On Chairs Require Accreditation
Publisher:Admin  Source:  Date:2016/4/28

Recently, CPSC make a final rule to establish the new federal regulations 16 CFR 1233, Safety Standard for Portable Hook-On Chairs and amends 16 CFR1112, Requirements Pertaining to Third Party Conformity Assessment Bodies to add a new § 1112.15(b)(40) that lists16 CFR part 1233 as a children’s products safety rule, that means all portable hook-on chairs imported to US shall requires third party testing by CPSC-accepted testing laboratory. This rule will become effective on Sep 28, 2016.

This rule incorporates ASTMF1235-15 as safety standard for portable hook-on chairs without modification.

BACL suggests that manufacturers or importers shall choose those third party testing laboratories, which were accepted by CPSC to issue testing report to support a certification of compliance to this rule.
