On July 8, 2026, the European Commission published a draft delegated directive proposing to revise and update multiple lead and cadmium exemption entries in Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (the RoHS Directive). A four-week public consultation has now officially opened, with a deadline of August 5, 2026.
