On 16 December 2025, the European Commission published Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/2519, to update the references to the harmonised standards under the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC. With immediate effect (from 16 December 2025): EN 71-3:2019+A2:2024 and EN 71-13:2021+A2:2024 shall be listed as harmonised standards under the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC. The previous versions EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021 and EN 71-13:2021+A1:2022 shall be withdrawn from 16 June 2027.
