On 3 June 2025, the European Commission approved and published Commission Regulation (EU) 2025/1090 to add Entry 80 and Entry 81 to Annex XVII to the EU REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, which restrict N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC, CAS No. 127-19-5) and 1-ethylpyrrolidin-2-one (NEP, CAS No. 2687-91-4) respectively, in substances and mixtures to be placed on the EU market. The amendment shall enter into force on 23 June 2025 and will apply after 23 December 2026.

In Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, the following entries are added:
