AAFA Opposes Proposed Changes to California Prop 65 Warning Labels
Publisher:Admin  Source:  Date:2016/2/3

On January 25 2016, AAFA joined over two hundred organizations in opposing the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment's (OEHHA) latest proposal to significantly alter warning labels under California Proposition 65 (Prop 65). The comments cite concerns that certain aspects of the proposal — such as requiring the listing of chemicals on Prop 65 warning labels — will result in compliance difficulties, increased frivolous litigation, and consumer confusion. AAFA will keep members apprised of developments with the proposal.

Remark: Two hundred organizations consists of The California Chamber of Commerce and over two hundred California-based and national organizations and businesses of varying sizes that, collectively, represent nearly every major business sector that would be directly impacted by OEHHA's Proposal.
