In accordance with notifications on EU rapid alert system for non-food (RAPEX) in the first two weeks of January 2016 , the statistics are indicated as below:
During these two weeks, The European Commission validated 60 notifications on dangerous products and transmitted them to EU Member States and EEA countries through the RAPEX system. 20 are for toys among these notifications,accounted for 33%:
For toys category, the most frequently notified risk categories are choking, chemical, injury, accounted for 75%.See details as below:
More than half of the dangerous products are originated from China (36 notifications, accounted for 60%).
Phthalate & the migration of heavy metal are the most frequently notified risk categories for chemical injury.
