On January 18 2016, PM 2.5 Protective Facial Mask Group Standard “TAJ1001-2015” was released in Beijing. The standard was proposed by China Textile Commerce Association, completed by the Drafting Committee which is constituted by the safety protective equipment industry experts, protective facial mask manufacturing enterprises and the relevant scientific research departments, and submitted to the Standardization Administration of China for the record. It will become effective on March 1, 2016.

According to the reports, this is the first group standards aims at PM 2.5 protective facial mask in our country, it is also the first officially released effective haze hazard protection facial mask standards to the society. At present, the market has many problems for PM2.5 protective facial mask: on one hand, cheap copy PM2.5 protective facial mask is flooding the market; on the other hand, there is a huge misuse of industrial dust mask, which will induce serious health risks.
