Kementrian Komunikasi dan Informatika (KOMINFO) of Indonesia previously held a public consultation on the Draft Revision of Regulation PM KOMINFO No. 16 of 2018. KOMINFO published Permen KOMINFO No. 3 Tahun 2024 on February 23, 2024.

This Regulation includes the following updates:

1）The Test Reports for Telecommunications Equipment, cellular telephones, and handheld and tablet computers, must be issued by a domestic and/or SDPPI MRA international test lab no more than 5 years before the Certificate Application date.

2）Products with a transmit power of less than 10mW may leverage family approval if the models are:

● The same brand and product type, and

● The same RF specifications.

3）The Certificate Fee must be paid no later than 14 calendar days from the SDPPI date of issue.

4）Application cancellations may only be leveraged once within a calendar year, and only before the Certificate Fee payment.

5）Clarification on the QR code and Warning Sign label requirements have been provided:

The QR Code must contain at least the following information:

● certificate number;

● PLG ID;

● brand of Telecommunications Equipment and/or Telecommunications Equipment;

● Type of Telecommunications Equipment and/or Telecommunications Equipment; And

● other data elements listed in the Certificate.

6）The warning sign must contain information regarding the prohibition on making changes to specifications that could cause physical and/or electromagnetic disturbances to the surrounding environment.
