The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has released Class Assignment No. 1 of 2024 on March 5, 2024. These Class Assignments are now in effect, and revoke Class Assignment No. 2 of 2022 and  the Class Assignment No. 1 of 2023.

Changes to the Class Assignment No. 1 of 2024 include:

● Updates to the Short-Range Communication Device (SRD) for maximum transmit power and indoor use.

● Updating the frequency band for Personal Radio Service (PRS) Devices.

● Updating the frequency bands and maximum antenna diameter for Fixed-Satellite Service (FSS) Earth Station.

● Removing Remote Controlled Devices.

● Adding Mobile Satellite Access Devices.

● Updating the Satellite Broadcasting Receiver Device frequency band.

● Adding Inductive Application Devices.

● Removing some operational restrictions for SRD Conditions in the Second Schedule.
