The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand has opened a public consultation on February 29, 2024, on technical standards for telecommunications equipment and radio communications equipment which use the 5.925-6.425 GHz frequency band. The consultation will be open for comments until May 1, 2024.

With the meeting No. 1/2024 of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) on January 10, 2024, they agreed to approve the reuslts of the consulation of the Sub-commite on frequency spectrum and technical standards.
According to the documents presented by the NBTC office as follows:
Agreed in principle (draft) to revise the NBTC announcement on technical standards of telecommunications equipment and equipment. For radio communications equipment using the frequency 5.925 – 6.425 GHz.
Agree on arranging to listen to the opinions of stakeholders and the general public on the matter as follows:
2.1 Form for listening to opinions of stakeholders and the general public To listen to the opinions of stakeholders and the general public. There will be a meeting at the location specified by the NBTC office (on-site), meeting via electronic media (online), and submitting documents to express opinions.
2.2 Invitation method. Use the method of sending invitation letters to relevant persons or agencies and publishing them on the NBTC Office's website to invite stakeholders and the general public to express their opinions.
2.3 Listening period. Opinions of stakeholders and the general public The period for listening to opinions is not less than 30 days as provided in the law. Documents for listening to opinions of stakeholders and the general public. The NBTC Office would like to invite those involved and the general public. Participate in expressing opinions and suggestions for improving the draft NBTC announcement. You can submit the comment form.
