The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam issued a Draft Circular on national technical regulations for Electromagnetic Compatibility for land mobile radio equipment and land radio trunks on February 5, 2024. The Draft Circular will be open for comments until April 5, 2024.

Issue "National technical regulations on electromagnetic compatibility for land mobile radio equipment and land radio trunks"

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;

Pursuant to the Telecommunications Law dated November 23, 2009;

Pursuant to the Law on Radio Frequency dated November 23, 2009 and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequency dated November 9, 2022;

Pursuant to Decree No. 127/2007/ND-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;

Pursuant to Decree No. 78/2018/ND-CP dated May 16, 2018 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 127/2007/ND- CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government regulating detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;

Pursuant to Decree No. 48/2022/ND-CP dated July 26, 2022 of the Government regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications;

At the request of the Director of the Department of Science and Technology,

The Minister of Information and Communications promulgates a Circular stipulating National Technical Regulations on electromagnetic compatibility for land mobile radio equipment and land radio trunks.

Article 1. Issued together with this Circular is the National Technical Regulation on electromagnetic compatibility for land mobile radio equipment and land radio trunks (QCVN 100:2024/BTTTT).

Article 2 . Enforcement

1. This Circular takes effect from November 15, 2024.

2. Circular No. 39/2015/TT-BTTTT dated December 25, 2015 of the Minister of Information and Communications promulgating "National technical regulations on electromagnetic compatibility for surface radio trunking equipment land (TETRA)” ceases to be effective according to the regulations on application roadmap in Article 3 of this Circular.

Article 3. Application roadmap

1. From July 1, 2025, imported and domestically produced terrestrial mobile communication terminals must meet the regulations in QCVN 100:2024/BTTTT before circulating on the market.

2. Enterprises, organizations and individuals can choose to test according to QCVN 100:2015/BTTTT or according to QCVN 100:2024/BTTTT to serve certification of conformity and declaration of conformity for information terminals land mobile from April 15, 2025 to June 30, 2025.

Article 4 . Implementation organization

Chief of Office, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Information and Communications, Directors of Departments of Information and Communications of provinces and centrally run cities and organizations , relevant individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
