France’s national spectrum management agency (ANFR) issued a statement in 2019.11.17. The range of SAR test value is provided in instructions will be expanded. The requirement of mobile phone production was limited until now. The SAR test value of radio frequency productions as mobile phone、tablet and smart wearable production etc which are used near human body will be provided in instructions after 2020.7.1. It can be used as reference when consumer chooses these kind of productions.

Remark: For the production is circulated and complied with regulation of the time in Europe market, does not need to update instruction.

SAR represents the electromagnetic power absorbed and consumed per unit mass of organism include human. The lower value, the lower the radiation does.

According ANFR requirement, the obligation to display SAR test value will apply to all RF products such as mobile phone、tablet and smart watch which designed to be on head or within 20cm from human body, and output more than 20mw.

According ANFR regulation, SAR values must be displayed at the point of sale of relevant product and in the brochure/user manual with product, and ensure that prompt is clear and legible, appended by a warning statement. Furthermore, in order to strengthen consumer protection, ANFR confirmed that SAR limit value for limbs is 4W/kg and for head and body is 2W/kg. ANFR will supervise wireless products to check whether the product meets the regulations. If your product is included, please pay more attention.
