The Apparel and Footwear International Restricted Substances List Management Group (AFIRM) has released the 2020 AFIRM RSL. AFIRM established in 2004. AFIRM RSL can provide a tool for vendors to establish chemical management knowledge and processes, build base compliance with AFIRM member chemical restrictions and provide a common base for testing products, which may be accepted by multiple AFIRM brands.

The major changes outlined as below：

1. Add jewelry, sporting good equipment, wearables, and home textiles to the scope of the AFIRM RSL and provides examples of products in Table 1.

2. Add jewelry-specific test methods and limits for Heavy Metals.

3. Redefine the recommended testing approach, publish a Testing Matrix (see Table 4), replacing the Risk Matrix.

4. Add reference List of PFCs (See Appendix A).
