NBTC has released following notification on 26 December 2019
1. Criteria of using frequency and radio communication equipment that are authorized to use in general
2. Effective date: 27 December 2019.
Solution: for previous SDoC /certificate issued before 27 December 2019, they will still be active without any required of re-submission. For SDoC /certificate issued after 27 December 2019 onward, SDoC /certificate will refer to this new notification.
This notification is to summarize from previous multiple NBTC notification into one notification. There is no significant change in frequency allocation or practice.
The National Broadcasting Telecommunications Commission announced following regulations.
1. This regulations shall follow after this government gazette announced date
2. All NBTC notification in related to criteria of using frequency that are license exempted, and radio communication equipment and station exempted for license which were effective prior to this notification date, shall still be valid as long as it do not contradict with this notification.
3. On this notification, “frequency that are authorized to use in general” means frequency that are authorized to use without required process to allocate frequency for specific personnel or organization.
4. Usage of frequency that are authorized to use in general frequency that are authorized to use in general, the usage shall be used in common and user do not receive exclusivity right.
5. Usage of frequency that are authorized to use in general, shall be with output power not over specified maximum transmitting output power, application, usage condition as per Annex A attached to this notification.
6. Radio communication equipment using frequency that are authorized to use in general, shall be required related radio communication license or exempted to radio communication license as per Annex A attached to this notification.
7. Radio communication equipment using frequency that are authorized to use in general, shall be complied with technical requirements announced by NBTC.
8. Using frequency that are authorized to use in general, shall comply with conditions as follows.
1) Do not connect, modify, or use any other equipment with the equipment in order to increase output power to be higher than specified output power value.
2)Usage of radio communication equipment do not receive interference protection right. In case that equipment cause any severe interference to other frequency usage which received related license in certain area, user shall cease the frequency usage which cause interference immediately.
3)Usage of radio communication equipment shall not cause any effect to function of medical radio communication equipment.
9. In case of using frequency that are authorized to use in general for telecommunication business, the business shall require related telecommunication business.
