On October 15, 2019, Egypt's NTRA officially announced that it would no longer accept the shipment of goods from warehouses of intermediate countries to Egypt, but only accept the shipment of goods from China directly to Egypt or India directly to Egypt.

Prior to this decision, some distributors have shipped their goods to the warehouses in intermediate countries, and then ship the goods from the intermediate warehouses to Egypt. Due to the distributors' warehouses are mixed with the goods for different batches and different market, it is often found that the IMEI numbers of the goods are inconsistent with those in the PVOC. That is, the goods arriving in Egypt are without PVOC or doesn't match the PVOC. For this reason, the Egypt's NTRA decide to strictly controls the way of shipment, no longer accepts goods shipped from intermediate warehouse.

For shipments already inspected in China and shipped to intermediate warehouses before this decision, they are exempted fromsuch decision and are ok to be shipped to Egypt on orbefore 31st Dec. 2019.
