NTC had announced that all product that requiring type approval/Acceptance of RF/Telecom Module and host or end product with embedded or built-in RF/Telecom Module must be type approved/accepted as per specific integrated/installed RF Module.

And also for those equipment models with single Regulatory model name (RMN) with multiple marketing name shall be issue base on Per marketing model basis.

In Summary

1. Multiple Modules Host

Now Laptops or product with multiple Wifi modules will need to apply multiple models rather than 1 models only.

Example:  

Laptop with Module A, Module B, Module C (all module A, B, C are same specs).

Previous case: 1 Certificate States all 3 Models 

New case: need to issue 3 Certificate 

Respectively :

• Cert 1 for Module A + Host Model

• Cert 2 for Module B + Host Model

• Cert 3 for Module C + Host Model

2. Marketing Name 

All these while NTC had imposed different marketing name will be different certificate, but still too many applicant try to apply base on models.So NTC issue this memorandum so everybody is aware of this.

Example:

• Model ABC

• Marketing name X1 and X2

• Cert 1 = ABC with marketing X1

• Cert 2 = ABC with marketing X2
