Recently, WERCS officially issued the latest requirements for WERCS registration, details are as follows:

In response to the above notice, we can clearly understand the fact that WERCS officially require UN38.3 report for lithium batteries and lithiumbattery-containingproducts. The specific requirements are as follows:

1. Starting from June 28, 2019, for all newly registered lithium batteries or lithium battery-containing products,UN38.3 report should be provided during the registration process;

2. Starting from August 1, 2019, for all approved lithium batteries or lithium battery-containing products, UN38.3 reportshould be uploaded to WERCS system, otherwise the WERCS registration will be suspended, and the "NEEDS ATTENTION" notice will be received before the suspension.

In response to the requirements of the new regulations, BACL Labs makes the following recommendations for our customers:

1. Remind customers to re-certify all battery-containing products to ensure that all products related to lithium batteries have been updated;

2. For battery products without UN38.3 report, customers need to contact the battery manufacturer to re-certify and obtain the qualified UN38.3 report, upload it to the WERCS official website to re-sell the battery-containing products, add UPC code or update it in other ways.
