BACL obtained the additional Vietnam MIC test standards：

SSince MIC Vietnam officially introduced Circular 18/2018/TT-BTTTT on 20 Dec 2018, amended and supplemented existing Circular 46/2016/TT-BTTTT, several new standards have came into effect or will be effect. 

On May 27, 2019, BACL successfully obtained below new standards by updated MRA:

Vietnam MIC regulation recentupdate:

1. Make the definitions of Short Range Devices, Wireless Video Transmitter, Automotive Radar, Radar sensor or Road Transport and Traffic Telematics to be clearer. Officially confirm that Short Range Devices which does not meet requirements on operating frequency and operational technical conditions (maximum ERP/EIRP power, spurious emissions.. are NOT ALLOWED to be imported and used in Vietnam. Short range device having multi operating frequency bands and/or exceed allowed bands and/or multi power level must be fixed and limited to meet requirements of Circular 18/2018/TT-BTTTT and Circular 46/2016/TT-BTTTT of MIC Vietnam.

2. MIC adds HS Code for each kind of products for easier implementation and market control.

3. Enforcing new national technical standards:

◆ QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT shall replace QCVN 47:2015/BTTTT for FDD LTE terminal devices (4G FDD LTE mobile phone / laptop / notebook, and other 4G terminal devices) 

◆ QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT shall replace TCVN 7189:2009 for ITE (Desktop PC, Laptop / Notebook PC, Router, Tablet, Server, Gateway, Firewall, Switch...) and also replace TCVN 7600:2010 for MME (Set-Top-Box and TiVi)

From 01 July 2019, TCVN 7189:2009 / CIPR 22 / EN 55022 test reports will not be accepted for SDoC of ITE, TCVN 7600:2010 / CIPR 13 test reports will not be accepted for SDoC of MME

4. Several radio devices has been removed from Appendix I (to be exempted from Type Approval (TA) certification or forbidden), Self-assessment Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) will be required still for a part of TA exempted products.

◆ Remove 866 ~ 868 MHz license-free band allocated for RFID 866 ~ 868 MHz RFID products which has been manufactured or imported before enforcing date of this Circular can still be used in Vietnam, but must be stopped if cause harmful interference to licensed bands.

◆ Most of maritime radio devices (except for Marine Radar) have been moved from the list of products subjected to TA (Appendix I) to the list of products subjected to DoC (Appendix II)

5. Add frequency bands specially used for railway systems: 3.234 MHz ~ 5.234 MHz and 26.957 MHz ~ 27.283 MHz. Now the contractors of MRT railway systems in Vietnam should not have problem in importing railway transmitters, transceivers.

6. High power RFID 918-923 MHz used for non-stop electronic toll collection systems and wireless sounds devices used for radio / television broadcasting purposes are removed from Short Range Device category (higher ERP/EIRP power is allowed but must obtain frequency permit to use).

7. Extend the allowed operating frequency band for wireless power charging products. Now the frequency band allowed for Qi WPC product in Vietnam can be within range from 9 kHz ~ 190 kHz.

8. Add few more license-free frequency bands for AIS and EPIRB (maritime equipment)
