ANATEL published Resolution nº 700/2018 and the Legal Letter nº 659/2018 in Dec 2018.

I. According to the ANATEL Resolution nº 700/2018 in its Article 11 and the Legal Letter nº 659/2018 published, as for January 30th the maximum SAR value measured (W/kg) during the local testing and declared in the test report, must be informed in one of the following places:

1) Product Packaging, or

2) User manual accompanying the product, or

3) Electronic manual available on the internet (Manufacturer’s or Applicant’s website). However, this option is conditional on the presence, in the manual accompanying the product, clear guidelines on how the obtain the electronic version of the manual.

II. Also, here our suggestion of new SAR warning text to be placed in the user manual of all devices where this test was done: The warning text be referred to ANATEL Official Letter nº 38/2004 warning and ANATEL SAR warning. Text in red must be included in the user manual:

“Este produto está homologado pela ANATEL de acordo com os procedimentos regulamentados para avaliação da conformidade de produtos para telecomunicações e atende aos requisitos técnicos aplicados, incluindo os limites de exposição da Taxa de Absorção Específica referente a campos elétricos, magnéticos e eletromagnéticos de radiofrequência.  O máximo valor medido da Taxa de Absorção Específica referente à exposição localizada na cabeça foi de XX W/kg e no tronco foi de XX W/kg (replace XX to the maximum SAR found on tests).  Para maiores informações, consulte o site da ANATEL – www.anatel.gov.br" 

III. IMPORTANTE NOTE: When the Product is a restrict radiation device (unlicensed device, such as WIFI, BT, RFID, SRD, etc.), the Res. 680 phrase must be added too:

Este equipamento não tem direito à proteção contra interferência prejudicial e não pode causar interferência em sistemas devidamente autorizados.
