Release and implementation date:
On March 6, 2018, British Columbia (Canada) announced the new Energy Efficiency Standards Regulations (EESR), which includes new and updated gas fireplaces, domestic hot water pumps, general service lighting products, and Windows and consumer electronics. The officially revised "Energy Efficiency Standards Regulations" published the file number [B.C. Reg. 29/2018, March 6, 2018], effective date is March 6, 2018.
The regulated products must display the energy efficiency verification label authorized by the qualification authority to prove that the product has passed the institutional test and the performance meets the energy efficiency standard regulations.
Major changes in general lighting products
The main changes related to general lighting products are as follows:
General lighting products mainly include four types of bulb products, which require the light efficiency of these four types of products to be no less than 45 lm/w from January 2, 2020. The adjustment is mainly in line with US energy regulations. Specific performance requirements are as follows:
