3-Benzylidene Camphor is Identified as SVHC

On 18 December 2018, the Official Journal of the European Union published Directive (EU) 2018/2013 identifying 1,7,7-trimethyl-3-(phenylmethylene)bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one (3-benzylidene camphor) as SVHC because of its Endocrine disrupting properties (Article 57(f) - environment).

 

On September 4, 2018, The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) launched its public consultation on 6 Potential SVHCs. if these proposals are accepted and adding the new identifying substance, the Candidate List will expand to 198.
