[Regulatory Update] NBTC standard for UWB NBTC TS 1034-2561

NBTC announced following notification on 30 November 2018:

1. Notification of NBTC regarding: Criteria of authorization to use frequency for Ultra-wideband radio communication equipment 1.6-10.6 GHz

2. Notification of NBTC Regarding: Technical standard for Ultra-wideband radio communication equipment 1.6-10.6 GHz (Technical Standard NBTC TS 1034-2561)

 

But this notification has not been announced on Royal Gazette yet and it is expected of announcement during end of December 2018- February 2019.So this notification takes effect on and from the day following the date of its publication in the Royal Gazette.


The attached technical standard is already finalized version, they are only waiting for Thai government to officially announced it. So customer can arrange testing as per this standard in advance, once the standard is announced on royal gazette, we can proceed class A type approval certificate immediately.

NBTC is the abbreviation of National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (predecessor is NTC). All wireless and telecommunication products need to be approved by NBTC before entering to Thailand Market. There are three types of type approval for NBTC: Class A, Class B and SDoC.

 

From year 2000, BACL has always been listed on NBTC website, CE and FCC reports released by BACL can be accept by NBTC for NBTC type approval application.
