Beginning in August 2018, Indonesia SDPPI is constantly updating its regulations and one of the most important rules is to add EMC testing.

Many products that are applying for SDPPI certificates need to add EMC testing, while there are only two EMC labs in Indonesia:Laboratorium Inovasi TIK, Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) and Laboratorium Elektronika dan Telematika, Balai Riset dan Standardisasi (Baristand) Industri Surabaya, Kementerian Perindustrian, in which the instruments of the Baristand lab are being verified. It is expected to be open in January 2019, thus many cases will be delayed and arranged after March next year. Due to the excessive load on the local EMC labs, Indonesia SDPPI decided to temporarily accepts EMC report Issued by ISO 17025 Labs to apply for the SDPPI certificate before December 31, 2018.
