The free management of listed products before the end of May to LED Lighting Facts project:

The rebooting of this project is a whole new beginning, the implementation of charging scheme is for the products newly listed on June. 1. What is the significance of this project?

Emphasizing the performance of the simple real identification program can provides consumers with the assurance of product performance validated, at the same time, online tools are helpful for convenient comparison of manufacturer and LED lighting products and give convenience to consumers, retailers, dealers and lighting designers to search data online. During market developing, there will be more cognition on this project products and the label, and accept approved laboratories.

2. This project used to be free, why charge now？

It used to be DOE government who funds to support this project; DOE bear all the costs of the operation. Now, DOE closed the project. D + R International will continue to provide consumers with the project resource. Manufacturers and laboratories need to share the cost of project operation. In June, it will announce the plan that specific products maintain listing need to pay monthly or annually, at the same time, the recognition test lab will also need to pay annual fee.

3. How to manage the listed products that already in the current database? Does it need to pay related fee?

For already listed products remain column name before May, however, before the end of October 2018, applicant have to give explanation for whether these products are selling in the market and the products differences or archive listings, for the changed product must be resubmitted as a new product . Starting from November, products that were not specified by the manufacturer will continue to have column names, but these products will only keep the archived and cannot use labels.
