On 26 April 2018, The Member State Committee (MSC) has approved a European Commission proposal to restrict the use of 33 CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction) substances in clothing, textiles and footwear. The new law will apply 24 months after publication in the EU Official Journal.
