Egypt NTRA found the samples sent to them for local initial test had totally different PCBs compared to the PCBs in the CE report which leads to the following new procedures which should be applied immediately on any new VoC/PVoC issued starting from Jan. 1, 2018.
Such new procedures should be carried out in the below order:
※ For any new cellular tablet or mobile phone, a sample submitted to the lab should be disassembled by the NTRA accredited test lab personally for checking. And the PCB should be compared to those in the safety test report of the CE report. If any differences are noticed, no VoC should be issued for such model.
※ If the set passed the 1st step and VoC is granted, clear and detailed photos should be taken by the lab for the sample internal PCB and exterior appearance and such photos should be burned along with the VoC on the CD which is submitted later to the NTRA.
※ Assuming the past two steps are fulfilled and while issuing a new PVoC, a new sample should be randomly collected by the lab personally. Disassembly and a new comparison should be carried out for the PCBs in the 1st step. If any differences are noticed, no PVoC should be issued, if everything is OK, new clear and detailed photos should be taken by the lab for the sample internal PCB and exterior appearance and such photos should be added to the inspection report.
All the accredited labs are requested to comply with the new procedures immediately.
