Bahrain
Bahrain type approval certificate will be issued only to local companies

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) issued a new resolution (No. 9/2017) on the recognition and import of telecommunications equipment on August 31, 2017.
Pursuant to this resolution, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) will no longer issue a declaratory statement to a foreign company, the type approval certificate being obtained only by a local business incorporated company for a period of three years.
Products that have obtained Type Approval before the resolution is promulgated can still be imported and sold on the market until the certificate expires.

 

EU
The EU released the first SAR-related harmonized standards

According to the EU's 2014/53 / EU RED, the Official Journal of the European Union released the first four SAR-related coordination standards on November 17, 2017, with the rest of the standards released.

Indonesia (SDPPI)
SDPPI released the draft of product certification regulations

The Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Informatics- KOMINFO released the draft Product Certification Regulations (SIARAN PERS NO.219 / HM / KOMINFO / 11/2017) on November 8, 2017 and solicited public comments.
This draft may affect the following applications:
1. The certificate does not have a valid term
2. Overseas laboratories recognized
3. More product projects available document examination methods to apply
4. Accept the electronic label
5. Label warning requirements
This draft may be implemented after the beginning of 2018, and we will keep a close watch on this change and issue a notice.


South Korea (MSIP)
RRA Amendments to Radio Communication Equipment and Appliances Regulations

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) notified the revision of the "Regulations on Radio Communications Equipment and Appliances" and is expected to come into effect on December 5, 2017.
 

The main impact is as follows:
1. To avoid confusion and inconveniences for manufacturers and consumers, the official unit name "MSIP" in the original license number is changed to "R",which means "Radio Act".
2. The product identification code will use English, Arabic numerals, hyphen (-), and underscore (_).
 
• New regulation transitional period:
1. From the effective date of the statute to June 30, 2018, "MSIP" or "R" may be used for certificate number coding.
2. Since July 2018, the certificate code number can only accept "R", and only the "R" certificate number code can be used on the nameplate.
MSIP certificates that have been obtained before the new law takes effect will not be affected.
Serbia


Serbia announces that some wireless telecommunications equipment will no longer require a certification when it is imported
According to the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia No. 92/17, the RiTT-related products contained in Annex 6 will not require a certification when they are imported into Serbia, but if they are to be sold in Serbia, Still need a certificate.


United States (FCC)
FCC DoC & VoC officially changed to SDoC

The Federal Communications Commission-FCC released official news on November 2, 2017 that DoC & VoC were formally changed to SDoC (Supplier's Declaration of Practice) to streamline the certification process for wireless devices and to define the use of electronic tags Conformity).

The equipment supplier (for the local company in the United States) will test the equipment that meets the standard requirements or requirements. If the equipment complies with the requirements, it shall provide relevant documents such as the SDoC declaration documents for demonstration.

SDoC policy simplifies the tedious FCC certification requirements, the policy content is summarized as follows:
1. Simplify the self-approval process: The FCC decided to replace the existing FCC VoC and FCC DoC with SDoC.
2. Permitting the use of electronic tags: FCC regulations require the use of electronic tags, marking the product information on the product or otherwise providing product-related information such as the FCC identification number and the declaration of conformity.
3. Simplified and cumbersome import requirements: Requests for import declaration to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be required to cancel the import of Radio Frequency (RF) equipment into the United States. The rules of the Commission will be revised to clarify the compliance requirements related to imported equipment.
4. Updating Measurement Procedures and Clarification of Standards: The Commission's measurement procedures will be revised to simplify and integrate the requirements of equipment used in different services.
 
• Effective Date: Effective November 2, 2017, with one year transitional period.
a.) You may choose to continue using the FCC VoC and DoC certification procedures during the transitional period.
b.) Applying for FCC VoC and DoC certification prior to the transition period will continue to be valid, however, if the product is subject to revision you will need to regain certification.
 
• FCC SDoC certified products will have the option of marking the FCC logo.
 
• SDoC requires the addition of a Declaration of Conformity document attached to the device. The Declaration of Conformity will include the necessary information such as the name, address or contact URL of the local U.S. supplier.
