We knew the news last week from RRA that from 5th December 2017, the notice on conformity assessment of broadcasting communication equipment etc. is revised; please refer at the time of KC application

The important changes are as following

1. Improvement on displaying conformity assessment ID Code change: Change from existing MSIP to R

2. Added EMC test item

EMC test items added: 346 KN 101 (Fire-fighting equipment EMC test)

3. Add equipment code / equipment name

FIR1: In addition to fire-fighting equipment (leakage alarm receiver), 17 new establishments (effective from December 19, 2017)

MOV 11: Electric motors of moving means (electric bicycle, electric board, electric   wheelchair, electric scooter) (effective December 5, 2017)

MOV 99: Electric device of moving means (other similar device) (effective December 5, 2017)

PWR 11: Power supply and mobile phone charger (effective December 5, 2017)

4. Change of document and application form

Appropriate certification application form for broadcasting communication equipment etc.

Applicable registration application form for broadcasting communication equipment etc.

※application for interim certification

Article 1 (Enforcement date from 5 Dec, 2017)

① This notice shall come into effect as from the date of notice

② Equipment that falls under item 16 of Appendix 2 pursuant to the provisions of Article 3, paragraph 2 shall come into force on December 19, 2017.

Article 2

Transitional Measures

① Equipment certified based on notice prior to the enforcement of this notice follows the previous notice.
② It was already received at the time of the enforcement of this notice and in accordance with the previous provisions, for applications for certification during processing.

③ The conformity assessment indication according to the provisions of Article 23 can be used in combination with the conformity assessment indication according to the previous provisions at the time of the notice enforcement by June 30, 2018.
