On 31 October 2017, the Official Journal of the European Union has published Commission Delegated Directives (EU)2017/1975 to amend exemptions in Annex Ⅲ, It exempted cadmium in color converting light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for use in display systems from 20 November 2017 till 31 October 2019.
