The European Committee for Standardization has published the children's high chair standard EN 14988-2017, it supersedes 14988-1:2006+A1:2012 and EN 14988-2:2006+A1:2012, and by publication at the latest by 7 On the 31st in 2018. With the exception of special high chairs for medical purposes, this standard applies to children's high chairs for domestic and non-domestic use.Children's high chairs are for children up to 3 years of age who are capable of sitting unaided for the purposes of feeding or eating. The revised standard is intended to further enhance the safety performance of children's high chairs, taking into account the hazards listed in the Decision 2013/121/EU.

To the product safety hazards of recall cases，the CEN updated the standard in the structural safety, flame retardant requirements, plastic packaging, labels and instructions, as far as possible to avoid the risk of injury to children.
