BACL joins hands with official authoritative organizations in many Middle Eastern countries to help enterprises set sail in the blue ocean of the Middle East!
Publisher:Admin  Source:  Date:2024/10/16

Recently, a delegation of BACL representatives went to the Middle East for a week-long visit, aiming to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with local official authorities, further deepen the strategic layout in the Middle East market, build a closer cooperation bridge for Chinese and Middle Eastern local companies, and open up a smoother channel to go overseas!

BACL representatives visited Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other countries, and had in-depth exchanges with officials and experts from official authoritative organizations such as the Saudi Arabian Standards organization (SASO), Saudi Arabia's local certification body (SAITCO), and the United Arab Emirates' local certification body (GULFTIC) on EMC, energy efficiency and other certification fields, and reached a broad consensus on cooperation.

BACL representatives had an in-depth discussion with SASO's energy efficiency expert Mohammed I. Alhamid and product safety expert Abdelaziz Sadiki on the market access requirements and latest regulatory trends for lighting products:

The new EMC regulations will be strictly enforced: SASO officially implemented the new EMC regulations on May 17, 2024, and began to spot check whether CB organizations strictly enforced the new EMC regulations two months ago. For this, applicants need to provide not only SDOC documents, but also EMC technical reports for evaluation; BACL will assist companies in conducting EMC compliance reviews of products to ensure that products meet SASO's strict standards, and work with SASO to promote the strict implementation of the new EMC regulations;

Proposed optimization of lighting product startup time standards: In view of the problem that the startup time of lighting products is required to be less than 0.5 seconds, which is difficult for some DALI 2.0 dimming products to achieve, BACL proposed to update the startup time test limit. SASO recognized this and agreed to consider adjusting relevant standards to adapt to market and technological development. BACL will collect the actual test results of DMX and DALI products from various factories and brands in the future to provide SASO with basic data for real-world inspections.

• Propose to optimize the initial report submission and certification process for LED lamp products: In response to the brand's demand for initial report submission and certification of LED lamp products, BACL listed international energy efficiency regulations such as US Energy Star ES and EU ERP, which can be used as references for initial submission and certification. SASO said that it will consider this in the future and may adjust and optimize the relevant processes according to actual conditions.

If the company has any technical questions or has suggestions for changes to the regulations, you can contact our technical experts at any time for timely assistance.

▍BACL visits SAITCO

BACL representatives had a full exchange with relevant technical leaders of SAITCO:

Sharing the latest regulatory developments: The two sides shared comprehensive information on the latest regulatory developments in the Saudi market, discussed common problems in the implementation of regulations, and shared solutions and experiences.

• Establishing a deep cooperative relationship: The two sides discussed their respective professional fields and advantages in depth, and will develop a deep and long-term cooperative relationship in the fields of EMC, energy efficiency, safety, etc.

Optimizing market sampling requirements: The two sides shared the sampling requirements and common non-conformities of the Saudi certification market, and discussed how to rectify and help Chinese companies.
