Recently, e-commerce giant Amazon has updated the packaging and transportation test requirements. All the specified products sold on its platform must be completed for The ISTA_Project_6-Amazon.com -SIOC test, and obtained the corresponding test report.

ISTA_ Project_6-Amazon.com - SIOC test standard is the packaging and shipping test standard that Amazon and its suppliers' products need to follow in Amazon's operating environment, which is based on the product's package size, package weight, and shipping method (small package or LTL) and product categories, the products are divided into 8 categories from Type A to Type H for testing, different test steps and projects are designed according to different logistics distribution of 8 types. BACL technical team conducted an in-depth interpretation of the eight types of test, professionally formulate a reasonable test plan, to complete the test report at the fastest time.

To encourage vendors to accept testing, Amazon is offering a credit reward of $1.00 per retail package to Vendors that complete their products testing and obtain the corresponding report in Sept.17,2018 -- July 31,2019.Instead, a fine of $1.99/unit will be charged if not.

On November 16, 2018, Bay Area Compliance Labs Corp.(Dongguan) officially obtained the ISTA® Test Laboratory Certification (member no.: 10877) for packaging and transportation testing, and will be able to provide customers with ISTA® packaging performance testing.

The ISTA® Transport Test Certification Mark can visually prove to the transporter and customer that a package has passed industry-accepted pre-shipment laboratory testing and that ISTA has reviewed the test report results and performed Safe transport certification for the package within the specified damage range.

All companies can inspect the package in accordance with the ISTA® test procedure. However, only ISTA members can obtain certification within the scope of the 《Manufacturer's License》，and print or paste the ISTA® Transport Test Certification Mark on the packaging. Non-member companies cannot be certified.
