The Beijing Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a product quality supervision and inspection for Children’s wear. The spot check inspected 7 batches of samples. The inspection focused on the following items: fiber content, pH value, heavy metal content, standard safety size for drawstrings on children’s upper wear, safety specifications for cords and drawstrings on children’s clothing, colorfastness to rubbing. No batch was unqualified.

Infant and Children’s Wear

The Fujian Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a product quality supervision and inspection for infant and children’s wear, toys, children’s car seats, feeding bottles, children’s furniture, stationary, etc., The spot check inspected 186 batches of 130 factories and companies, 1 batch was unqualified, the qualified rate is 99.46%.

The Shanxi Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a product quality supervision and inspection for infant and children’s wear. The spot check inspected 40 batches; 4 batches were found unqualified. The failure rate was 10%.

Primary reasons for failure: Labeling, fiber composition, formaldehyde, and colorfastness to rubbing

Footwear

The Guizhou Administration of Industry and Commerce launched a product quality supervision and inspection for footwear according to QB/T 1002-2005 "Leather shoes," GB/T 15107-2005 "Athletic shoes," HG/T 2495-2007 "Work shoes," Q/3537 "Hiking shoes". The spot check inspected 5 batches of samples; no batch was unqualified.
