EN55032 will come into enforce at March 5, 2017, which will officially replace EN 55013 and EN55022.

Background:

The multimedia devices today cannot be classified simply as IT or AV equipment but integration of both. In the special background EN55032 came into being and which generally covers EN55013 and EN55022.

Scope:

EN 55032 is for AC or DC multimedia devices whose voltage is not exceeding 600V. Multimedia equipment defined in EN 55032 is a combination of IT, AV, radio receiving or entertainment devices or control over light equipment which covers the product that mentioned in EN 55013 and EN 55022.

Note: This standard does not including product that requires the installation site.

Difference:

1. Disturbance power and radiated power test cancelled;

2.When testing wide-voltage products, it should consider two voltage :230V (± 10V) , 110V (± 10V), and frequency: 50Hz or 60Hz;

3.When testing PC display, it needs play color bar signal moving elements;

4. For broadcast receiver tuner port, it requires an asymmetric mode conduction test

Recommendations:

Compared with EN55013 and EN55022, EN55032 have major changes, we advise clients a new standard for detailed testing requirements and the timely introduction of new testing standards based on export plan products.
