On 21 April 2016, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (“AQSIQ”) publicised Notification No. 38 of 2016 on the Exit-Entry Commodities of 2016 beyond the Exit-Entry Commodity Catalogue Implemented by Inspection Quarantine Authority. AQSIQ should organise Inspection and Quarantine Authorities at all levels (“Authorities”) to conduct supervision and inspection entry-exit commodities beyond the Catalogue such as children’s footwear, wet wipes, garments and tyres from April to October in 2016.
To strengthen the overall quality surveillance of entry-exit commodities for the interest of the country and consumers, AQSIQ decides to organise the Authorities on supervision and inspection of the commodities beyond the Catalogue from April to October in 2016 as per Law of the People’s Republic of China on Import and Export Commodity Inspection and its implementation regulations.
The notification covers electromechanical, light textiles and chemicals, including15 subcategories. Quick-dry garments, uvioresistant garments, antibacterial garments, waterproof garments, children’s footwear as below:
