SASO Postpones Implementation of SASO 2944:2023“Motor Vehicles – Technical Requirements for (eCall) Emergency Call”!

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality organization (SASO) has issued a notification postponing the implementation of Saudi Standard SASO 2944:2023, “Motor Vehicles – Technical Requirements for (eCall) Emergency Call” , as referenced in Annex (1) of the Technical Regulation for Electric Vehicles, Accordingly the mandatory application date for all types of vehicle models will be effective starting from 01 January 2028.
