On July 21, 2026, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality organization (SASO) issued a notification announcing the temporary acceptance of a set of additional standards, alongside the existing standards already referenced in the Technical Regulation for Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing, to serve as the basis for test reports used in issuing Certificates of Conformity (CoC). This means that, in addition to the standards originally cited in the technical regulation, exporters and importers may now also choose to use the standards listed in the supplementary annex to demonstrate product compliance.

This arrangement is temporary and shall remain effective until the Annex of Standards to the Technical Regulation is updated to include all or part of the attached standards, or until further notice is issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality organization (SASO).
