SASO Suspends Certain Clauses in Detergent-Related Standards!

In light of the current challenges affecting global supply chains, which have impacted the availability of certain raw materials used in the chemical industries and consequently affected some manufacturers, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality organization has temporarily suspended the implementation of the clause related to surface-active agents in the relevant detergent product standards that are subject to these challenges namely (Synthetic Detergents - Household Synthetic Detergents Powder; Liquid Detergent for Manual Dishwashing; Synthetic Liquid Detergents for Clothing and Fabrics) which have been directly affected by these challenges.

 

This suspension is temporary and shall not exceed six (6) months, effective from 14/06/2026.
