On 11 August  2025, the Official Journal of the European Union published Commission Regulation (EU) 2025/1731 to expand the list of CMR category 1B substances in Annex XVII of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH).

This revision adds 16 new category 1B CMR substances and 1 derogation.
