On June 13,2024 the SUBTEL in Chile opens public consultation to modify  Exempt Resolution No.1,985 of 2017,which establishes a technical standard for reduced range equipment.

The main objectives is that manufacturers and importers,once compliance with the provisions of the resolution has been verified,must incorporate a QR code in the box or packaging of the respective equipment,with a link to a site with the commercial and technical information that supports the regulatory compliance.

The QR code must meet the following requirements:

• Be located visibly on the front of the equipment box,packaging or equipment packaging.

• The minimum size to which the QR code can be reduced must not be less than 1 cm in width and height in proportion.

• The maximum size to which the QR code can be enlarged must not be greater than 10 cm in width and height in proportion.

• Should not have frames Classic style.

• Border color #000000

• Background color #FFFFFF

• Border style: square

• Center style: square

• Correction level: 30%

The consultation process will be open from June 13,2024 to July 12,2024.
