The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) in Brazil has opened Public Consultation No. 60 on October 30, 2023 on the Operational Procedure for Approval of Telecommunications Product by Declaration of Conformity with Test Report. The proposed Annex, “The Operational Procedure for Approval of Telecommunications Products by Declaration of Conformity for Own Use intended for Amateur Radio, Citizen’s Radio, Maritime Mobile, Aeronautical Mobile and Satellite Communication Services,” would allow for the equipment designated for personal use in the services mentioned to be approved by a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) through type testing, and that the Designated Certification Bodies (OCDs) will accept copies of the CoC granted for the product in place of test reports.
