On Sept. 18, 2023, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality organization (SASO) has circulated a draft amendment to the Saudi standard SASO 2902:2018/AMD2:2023 "ENERGY EFFICIENCY, FUNCTIONALITY AND LABELLING REQUIREMENTS FOR LIGHTING PRODUCTS PART 2" for comment until Nov. 17, 2023.

This amendment is aiming is to clarify some of the requirements, and to ensure the ideal application of the standard, as some definitions have been added, as well as some requirements for Marking and Products exempted.; Consumer information, labeling; Protection of the environment.

*The amendment draft may not be referred to it until approved by the board of directors.

*After approval of this amendment, it will be in force one year after the date of publication.
