The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for bedding, leather footwear, garments, travelling cases and trolley bags. 

Casual Wear

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for casual wear. The spot check inspected 60 batches of samples; 8 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 5296.4-2012 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest - Part 4: Textiles and apparel,” GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles - Identification of fiber content,” GB/T 2662-2008 “Cotton Wadded Clothes,” GB/T 22700-2008 “Washed Garment,” GB/T 22849-2014 “Knitted T-shirt,” GB/T 26384-2011 “Knitted Wadded Garments,” GB/T 26385-2011 “Knitting Patchwork Clothing,” FZ/T 73020-2012 “Knitted Casual Wear,” FZ/T 73029-2009 “Knitted Trousers,” FZ/T 81004-2012 “Skirts and Skirted Suit,” FZ/T 81006-2007 “Jeanswear,” FZ/T 81007-2012  “Casual Wear,” FZ/T 81008-2011  “Jackets,” FZ/T 81010-2009 “Trench Coats,” FZ/T 73026-2014 “Knitted Skirt and Lady Suit” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, Azo, label, odor, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to dry cleaning and colorfastness to light.

Primary failed items: colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to wet rubbing, fiber content, pH value, fiber content and label.

School Uniforms

The Qingdao Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for school uniforms. The spot check inspected 11 batches of samples; no batch was found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles - Identification of fiber content,” GB/T 22854-2009 “Knitted School Uniform,” GB/T 23328-2009 “Woven Garments for Students” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, Azo, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to washing and colorfastness to light.

The Chengdu Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for school uniform. The spot check inspected 19 batches of samples; no batch was found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 22849-2014 “Knitted T-shirt,” GB/T 23328-2009 “Woven Garments for Students” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, Azo, fiber content and colorfastness.

The Chengdu Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for Garments, Assembled Spectacles, Sewing Threads and Footwear.

The Hunan Administration for Industry & Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for athletic garments, footwear, handbags and knapsacks.
