The Secretaría de Economía (SE) of Mexico published Oficio No. DGN.191.01.2023.2199 on August 16, 2023, which revises the surveillance procedure for NOM-003-SCFI-2014. Previously, only one follow up visit was accepted for NOM-003-SCFI-2014 renewals under Esquema 9.6.1 of Oficio No.

DGN.312.01.2018.1561. Esquema 9.6.1 is no longer in effect, and starting August 16, 2023, two follow up visits for testing are required for NOM-003-SCFI-2014 renewals. Unfortunately this will increase local costs.
