On July 5, 2023, the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources of Maine adopted an Act to reduce mercury in the environment by phasing out certain fluorescent lamps. This Act discusses the prohibitions on sale or distribution of certain mercury-added fluorescent lamps in the State of Maine.
