The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam has changed type approval certification requirements. Going forward, type approval certificates will list the full details of the Manufacturer and Factory (OEM) information with more details as below:

1. If there are more than one factory, then each factory will need their own type approval certificate and sample unit.

2. If a factory is not owned by the manufacturer, there will be more intensive documentation requirements and a possible virtual factory inspection.
