On July 13, 2023. The Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) announced that the interim type approval period for IPv6 cellular equipment without Wi-Fi interface, or IPv6 equipment over another medium (such as fiber optic, with the exception of Ethernet LAN), will be extended for another year or until further notice. All new applications and renewals will be allowed a maximum validity of 1 year, and applicants must submit test reports conducted by an accredited lab.
