On July 24, 2023, the Official Journal of the European Union has published Commission Delegated Directives (EU) 2023/1526 to add a new lead exemption in Annex IV under Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS). This Directive shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

In Annex IV to Directive 2011/65/EU, the following entry 41a is added:
