On May 22, 2023, the Telecommunications Engineering Centre of India (TEC) issued Notice 6-6/2021-TC/TEC Part 1, revising the marking guidelines in the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunications Equipment (MTCTE).

The main revisions are as follows:

● The certification mark of a certified product may be exempted for a period of six months, calculated from the mandatory date of the relevant product or from the date of issuance of the MTCTE certificate, whichever is later;

● The size of the TEC logo should be 1/4 of the size of the logo and not less than 6mm in height. However, if the size of the trademark itself is less than 6mm, the TEC logo can maintain the same size as the trademark;

● The old TEC certification mark consists of the country name "India", certificate number, TEC Logo and TEC portal address, while the revised new TEC certification mark consists of TEC Logo, MTCTE and certificate number；

● The old TEC logo that has been pasted to the product prior to this date in accordance with the original regulation O.M. No.5-10/2021-TC/TEC continues to be valid.
